PROJECT:
Brand identity | advertising material | social content styling
Client: Jay, owner of Bottle & Co
Skills used:
graphic design
copy writing
content styling
photo editing
The brief:
Jay required a simple brand look for his fledgling artisan craft ale and spirits store as well as ongoing support with advertising material and social media content.
The outcome:
I worked closely with Jay to produce a brand look from scratch, with brand guidelines setting out rules for official logo use, font type, colour, typography and tone, along with the brand’s mission statement, positioning, identity and values.
It was important that the primary logo could be used across social media and in-store, as well as on packaging and take-away bottles. I created the simple ring for this use, the shilouette of which echoes the shape left by the base of a bottle.
I regularly implement social media content covering Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as well as artwork for printed advertising.
This varies from product promotion and seasonal events to more ‘evergreen’ content and ‘behind-the-scenes’ posts to showcase the personality of the business and expert service offered by Jay.
My thoughts:
“From the off-set Jay planned to specialise in artisan ales, gins and spirits as well as eventually becoming a micro bar. After some initial brainstorming around the values of the company and what would be offered- ‘Bottle & Co’ was born. My thoughts on this were of the products (largely bottles) being in good company alongside their complimentary cans, mixers, friendly expertise and eventually- a place to meet friends for a drink.”
