PROJECT:

Events venue social media campaign | brochure design | advertising material

Client: Louise & Jeremy, owners of Yummy Yorkshire Ltd

I designed and implemented a social campaign to promote the venue’s forthcoming open day.

The Farm had some wonderful photography to really show off the venue and create the feeling of celebration that wedding clients aspire to.

The finished wallet design captured 4 individually designed flyer cards and a menu booklet.

High quality double-sided flyer card. Featured venue option: The Barn.

Skills used:

  • content styling (social media)

  • graphic design

  • photo editing

  • illustration

  • copy writing

The brief:

A wonderful family-run countryside farm venue on the edge of the Peak district asked me to join them to bring my event and creative experience into the company.

I quickly identified that the business needed fresh, cohesive marketing material for their four brands to communicate clearly what they offered. After presentation to the owners I set myself the brief of creating a social media campaign to bring together and clearly market their three on-site venue hire options; The Barn, The Field and The Hayloft.

The copy writing needed to align with their friendly brand while reflecting the unique charm of the working farm and high quality food made by their renowned restaurant chefs at the Hide & Hoof restaurant.

The outcome:

A venue hire social media and advertising campaign was designed and implemented by me including printed magazine adverts, social content and sign writing for an open day.

Utilising photography from previous events, I designed flyers for their four venue hire areas along with a detailed menu booklet; bringing the offer together with unique branded icons for The Barn and The Field.

The loose leaf wallet design I created means that the material can easily be updated as and when their portfolio of services grows in line with future plans for further development on the farm.

My thoughts:

From my experience of owning an events company I knew all too well how much clients invest, emotionally, in their celebration event. Evoking a feeling of treasured memories and shared celebration was at the forefront of my mind when selecting images and I feel this really comes through in the ‘polaroid’ style I used within the designs.

Being a familiar, local venue and a down-to-earth, family-run business, this was a really enjoyable project to work on with the owners.

What they said:

“Laura was able to pull together marketing and creative materials plus social media content to assist with the development and refinement of new and existing opportunities for Yummy Yorkshire.  From copy writing to creative design across a number of platforms Laura had an eye for getting the pitch and the creative input right to reflect our business.”
